“Deeply Calming and Inexplicably Powerful”
Equine Assisted Learning
(EAL) is:
EAL is the latest and greatest way of finding out more about yourself, whoever you are!
-
Participants engage in objectively-driven exercises with the horses as partners. While working with the horses, people become much more aware of how they themselves communicate and find themselves learning valuable life skills in a fun and exciting atmosphere.
Horses respond to participant stimulus and show them what is effective and what needs to change.
-
The horses make participants aware of their styles of communication as they work through the objectively-based exercises.
Together, we review what happened and discuss alternatives. Participants reflect on the outcomes and explore how what they have discovered can be used in other situations.
The horses, in their honest and non-judgmental way, help participants to change learned behaviors and explore new options.
-
EAL increases self confidence, raises self esteem and improves communication skills.
These are outcomes that stick.
Unmounted exercises with the horses stimulate:
There is NO riding involved.
-
EAL teaches empathy and willingness to accept responsibility while developing healthy relationships.
-
EAL provides an opportunity to empower individuals to expand personal comfort zones while building confidence and self esteem.
-
EAL improves personal awareness while enhancing verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Why Horses?
-
Horses can discern the difference between a calm, non-threatening approach and an anxious nervous energy.
Horses have the intuitive ability to identify messages humans unknowingly send them while working through the objectively driven exercises.
-
Horses demand the development of an honest relationship built on trust and respect.
Horses look for strong leadership and are willing to follow once they trust.
-
Horses can’t over think a situation; they approach us honestly.
Horses are non judgmental and have no preconceived ideas.
Horses live in the moment.
